Ho, ho, holy shit. Here come the holidays.
Next Check Starts: December 1st
Don't get me wrong, I love the holidays. But two things are true: the holidays can be wonderful AND they can be overwhelming. The music. The parties. The overtime. The relatives.
And if you work in a role where you help people, there's an extra layer of stress and grief running underneath all of it, and it makes everything more complicated.
Here's what surprised me in my research.
One of the biggest obstacles we face isn't a lack of time or money. It's our good intentions. And there's no season where good intentions run harder than the holidays.
We want to show up for everybody. We want to celebrate everybody. We want to be generous and jolly. And sometimes it's exactly those good intentions that knock our internal compass off course.
If you know the stress is coming, and your plan is to grit your teeth and get through it, this is for you.
Keep Yourself Steady in the In the Midst of the Holly-Jolly Chaos
The Holiday Compass Check is designed to help you keep an eye on your own needs and preferences in the middle of the holiday mayhem.
One question a day, sent by text each day. It takes about 60 seconds to read. No response required. It's just a question to chew on while you go about your life.
This isn't about fixing your life in December. (December is not the month for big changes, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling a planner.) It's about staying steady, so the noise doesn't knock you further off course than you already are.
Bonus: January's on me.
Buy December and I'll send you January too, as a gift. It's an extra 30 days in January to remind you it's okay to rest, and to keep the gym bro ads from getting you down. You'll walk into February ready instead of wrecked.
